Who we are

Vibe (also published as Vibo) is a messaging and short-video app. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the website or the Android and iOS apps, and how we use it.

Information we collect

Account details: email address, display name, username and profile photo. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email and profile picture from Google.

Content you create: messages, photos, voice messages, stories, videos, captions, comments, likes and follows.

Usage data: when messages are delivered and read, notification status, and basic technical logs needed to run the service.

Device data (mobile apps): a push notification token so we can alert you about new messages and videos.

Recommendations: when you use Vibe AI, the text you type and catalog information about public videos and creators are processed by an AI provider to generate suggestions.

How we use it

To provide chats, stories, the video feed, notifications and recommendations; to keep the service secure; and to respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information and we do not show third-party ads based on your data.

Camera, microphone and photos

The apps only access your camera, microphone or photo library when you choose to take a photo, record a voice message, or upload a story or video.

Who can see your content

Private and group messages are visible only to members of that conversation. Videos, stories and your public profile are visible to other Vibe users. Media files are stored privately and shown through temporary secure links.

Service providers

We use trusted providers for hosting, storage, authentication, push notifications (Google Firebase / Apple Push Notification service) and AI recommendations. They process data only on our behalf.

Retention and deletion

Stories disappear after 24 hours. Other content stays until you delete it or your account. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us; we complete requests within 30 days.

Children

Vibe is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect their data.
